A K-12 school in the Detroit area is seeking a fully licensed Michigan School Psychologist for a contract position during the current school year. This role supports students across secondary grades with some elementary students included, providing vital psychological services to enhance student well-being and academic success.
Location: Detroit, MI (Onsite)
Job Duration: Contract through end of school year (approximately January 14, 2026 June 5, 2026)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Caseload: Secondary students primarily, with some elementary cases
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students across K-12 levels
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and administration to develop intervention strategies
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention support as needed
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute expertise
- Maintain detailed records and ensure compliance with state regulations and school policies
- Support the schools goal of fostering a positive educational environment that promotes student growth
Qualifications:
- Fully licensed Michigan School Psychologist credential required
- Experience working with both secondary and elementary student populations preferred
- Strong understanding of special education laws, assessment tools, and behavioral interventions
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work onsite throughout the contract term
