Job Description
Make a meaningful impact by supporting the well-being and academic success of students as a School Psychologist. This part-time, contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to work with PreK-8 students and collaborate closely with a dedicated school community. Enjoy a balanced work schedule running Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., during the summer session from June 1st to July 16th. Services will be provided at a single elementary school, allowing focused attention and ongoing rapport with staff and students. Candidates interested in remote services (VOCO) are also encouraged to apply.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active Louisiana Department of Education School Psychologist credential
- Experience conducting assessments, creating intervention plans, and facilitating counseling services for PreK-8 students
- Familiarity with IEP processes, progress monitoring, and positive behavioral interventions
- Knowledge of, or willingness to complete, district-specific background check and fingerprinting requirements
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments for PreK-8 students, documenting findings and providing recommendations
- Develop intervention plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Support the implementation of IEPs and monitor progress toward goals
- Provide consultation to teachers and families to promote inclusive classroom environments
- Offer crisis support and counseling services as needed
