Make a meaningful impact working with high school students in an onsite educational setting near Dekalb, IL. This contract opportunity is perfect for an experienced and compassionate School Psychologist ready to support academic and social-emotional success, collaborating closely with educators and families.
In this role, youll provide comprehensive psychological services to a caseload of approximately 30 high school students for the 2026-2027 school year, working 35 hours per week from August 10, 2026, through May 14, 2027. Your expertise will make a difference as you promote healthy learning environments and student growth.
Qualifications:
- Valid IL School Psychologist License required
- Prior experience working with high school students or within school settings preferred
- Strong skills in conducting assessments, developing interventions, and facilitating IEP meetings
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration abilities
- Adaptability and commitment to supporting diverse student needs
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for students within your caseload
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student achievement
- Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and consultative services as needed
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and provide expertise on learning and behavioral challenges
- Maintain detailed, accurate documentation and adhere to ethical and legal standards
