Job Description

Step into a rewarding opportunity to support high school students growth and well-being in a contract position as a School Psychologist for the 2026-2027 academic year. This role is set in a collaborative and dynamic educational environment near Dekalb, Illinois, offering you the chance to make a meaningful difference from August 10, 2026, through May 14, 2027. Working onsite from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, youll provide essential services to a manageable caseload of approximately 30 students.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active School Psychologist licensure for the state of Illinois (required)
  • Experience working with high school-aged students strongly preferred
  • Solid understanding of assessment practices, counseling techniques, and collaborative interventions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build productive relationships with students, families, and staff

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments, interpret results, and provide clear recommendations
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans, collaborating closely with educators and parents
  • Deliver both group and individual counseling sessions to address social, emotional, and academic needs
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings, providing input and documentation as needed
  • Serve as a key resource on mental health and developmental issues within the school community
