Job Description
Step into an essential role supporting high school students in a busy academic environment. This contract opportunity runs from August 10, 2026, through May 14, 2027, with daily hours from 7:30AM to 3:00PM. As a School Psychologist, youll work exclusively onsite with a caseload of approximately 30 high school students, helping to foster their growth and well-being throughout the school year.
Qualifications:
- Active School Psychologist licensure for the state of Illinois (required)
- Prior experience working with high school populations strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Proficient in assessment, intervention, and counseling at the secondary level
- Demonstrated responsiveness in a fast-paced, diverse school environment
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, including cognitive, academic, behavioral, and emotional assessments
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to implement and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver targeted interventions and supports for students academic and social-emotional needs
- Provide consultation and expertise to school teams regarding mental health, learning accommodations, and crisis support
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and district requirements
