Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Masters or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or related field
- Strong understanding of special education law, RTI/MTSS processes, and psychoeducational assessment tools
- Outstanding communication skills for collaborating with students, parents, staff, and administrators
- Experience conducting assessments, interpreting results, and participating in eligibility and IEP meetings
- Ability to be flexible, organized, and supportive within a diverse student population
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to identify students learning, behavioral, and emotional strengths and needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop intervention strategies and academic or behavioral plans
- Support and consult with teachers, parents, and administrators regarding students educational and psychological needs
- Participate in eligibility, IEP, and student support meetings, providing critical insight and expertise
- Deliver direct support services, such as counseling or behavioral interventions, when appropriate
- Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to ethical and legal practice standards
