Job Description

You'll play a key role in conducting evaluations, providing counseling, and supporting comprehensive educational plans that help students thrive.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Michigan School Psychologist certification required
  • Experience in administering assessments and evaluations in K-12 school settings
  • Strong counseling and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Understanding of current laws and best practices in special education
  • Flexible to work full-time (preferred) or part-time hours
  • Ability to travel to multiple school sites within the district

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform psychological assessments and report findings
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and monitor educational plans
  • Deliver direct counseling services to students as needed
  • Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings, consultations, and eligibility determinations
  • Provide crisis intervention and consultation services
  • Support positive behavioral interventions and progress monitoring
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student records
