Make a meaningful impact by supporting student success and well-being as a School Psychologist for the upcoming 20262027 school year. In this fulfilling contract role, you'll collaborate with educators and families to address students diverse needs, develop and implement intervention strategies, and foster a positive educational environment. The district is eager for professionals who can move beyond standard assessment duties and become integral members of school support teams, providing a broader range of psychological services onsite.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Michigan School Psychologist Certification, or willingness to obtain MI licensure prior to the start date (support available for qualified travelers)
- Proven abilities in assessment, intervention planning, and consultation in school settings
- Effective communication skills to foster relationships with students, families, and staff
- A collaborative approach to promoting student mental health and academic success
- Experience supporting K-12 populations preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and interpret results for individualized student planning
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to identify and support student needs
- Contribute to intervention development beyond testing, such as counseling, behavioral supports, and preventative programs
- Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Split coverage for 1-2 buildings within the district, working as part of a dedicated psychology team
- Encourage positive school climate and address barriers to learning
This role is onsite only and provides an opportunity to work hands-on within a welcoming school community. The contract runs from August 25, 2026, through June 11, 2027, with a 37.5-hour workweek for the academic year.
