Job Description

Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students academic, emotional, and behavioral well-being as a school psychologist for the 20262027 academic year. This role is based at a location near Dearborn, MI and involves 37.5 hours per week. Youll work within 12 school buildings, collaborating with a dedicated team and contributing your expertise to a vibrant learning community. The school district actively encourages psychologists to go beyond testing, participating in a wide range of services that enhance the entire educational environment.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Michigan School Psychologist Certification, or willingness to swiftly secure Michigan licensure prior to the assignment (traveling candidates encouraged to apply)
  • Background in psychology, preferably with experience in K12 school settings
  • Strong skills in student assessment, intervention planning, and implementation
  • Excellent communication and a collaborative spirit to effectively partner with teachers, administrators, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments
  • Develop evidence-based intervention strategies and behavior plans
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and multidisciplinary teams
  • Deliver direct support and consultative services to educators, students, and parents
  • Contribute to school-wide initiatives promoting mental health and a supportive school climate
  • Engage in professional development and ongoing learning within the district
