Job Description
Put your expertise in school psychology to work supporting K-12 students in a dynamic educational environment. Multiple full-time contract opportunities are available, focusing on comprehensive psychological services for the upcoming academic year. On-site presence is required, and both school psychologists and psychometrists are welcomed to apply. One role will be based at an elementary campus, while the other position is an itinerant assignment supporting a private school cluster. Exact school assignments for the itinerant position will be shared as details are finalized.
Applicants must be able to participate in on-site interviews on April 27, 2026. The initial contract runs August 10, 2026 to May 26, 2027, with opportunities for extension into the summer and following school year pending performance and funding.
Qualifications:
- Valid and active Alabama school psychology license required
- Experience working with K-12 students, including both assessment and intervention services
- Capable of adapting to varied caseloads and school assignments (itinerant as needed)
- Ability to provide documentation of licensure during credentialing
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to complete a pre-screen interview, if requested
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform psychoeducational evaluations, interpretations, and eligibility determinations
- Consult with educators, administrators, and families to support student learning and wellbeing
- Develop and implement evidence-based interventions
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Travel between assigned schools as required (particularly for the itinerant role)
