Job Description

This onsite position allows you to make a meaningful impact by providing comprehensive psychological and counseling services to students, collaborating with educators, and ensuring every child receives the support they need to succeed.

Your responsibilities will include conducting individual and group assessments, interpreting psychological evaluations, participating in IEP meetings, and working closely with faculty and families to design effective intervention strategies. Youll advocate for students social, emotional, and behavioral well-being while helping shape a positive school climate and promoting academic achievement.

Qualifications and experience desired:

  • Active Connecticut Educator Certification as a School Psychologist
  • Experience in school-based psychological services
  • Strong understanding of special education laws and processes
  • Ability to conduct individual, group, and crisis interventions
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Key responsibilities include:

  • Administering, scoring, and interpreting psychological tests and behavioral assessments
  • Developing and monitoring student support plans in accordance with IEPs and 504s
  • Providing counseling to students, both individually and in small groups
  • Advising staff and parents regarding student learning, behavior, and mental health
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote student success
