Job Description

A school psychologist position is available in Coyote, NM, offering onsite work within an elementary school setting. This contract role provides 10 hours per week dedicated to supporting the mental health and educational development of young students.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting psychological assessments and evaluations for elementary-aged students
  • Collaborating with educators, parents, and administrators to develop and implement intervention plans
  • Providing counseling and support services to students to address academic, social, and emotional challenges
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to assist with individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Monitoring progress and adjusting strategies to meet student needs effectively

Qualifications:

  • Valid New Mexico School Psychologist License is required
  • Experience working with elementary school students is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, families, and school staff
  • Knowledge of psychological testing, behavior management, and educational policies
