Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid state certification or licensure as a school psychologist
  • Masters or doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field
  • Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results
  • Familiarity with developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Strong understanding of special education laws, including IDEA and Section 504
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with students, parents, and educators
  • Ability to provide crisis intervention, consultation, and counseling as needed
  • Prior experience in a school setting preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify students academic, social, and emotional needs
  • Interpret assessment results and participate in eligibility determination meetings
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and adjust intervention strategies
  • Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of IEPs and 504 Plans
  • Provide direct counseling and behavioral support to students individually and in groups
  • Deliver professional development and consultation to staff and families on relevant topics
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and timelines
  • Participate in problem-solving teams and contribute to a positive school environment
