Job Description

Empower students and collaborate with educators as a dedicated School Psychologist in a supportive educational environment near Corpus Christi, TX. This contract position provides the opportunity to foster positive change within local schools, address a range of student needs, and implement best practices in school psychology.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field
  • Valid certification/licensure for School Psychology in Texas (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Prior experience working with school-aged children and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong knowledge of assessment tools, intervention strategies, and special education laws
  • Outstanding communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to advocate effectively for students and collaborate with staff and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students referred for academic, social, emotional, or behavioral concerns
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create and implement effective intervention strategies
  • Participate in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and recommend appropriate accommodations
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention support for students as needed
  • Offer consultation and training to staff on learning, behavior management, and mental health best practices
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive school climate for all students
