Job Description

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Masters or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or related field
  • Current and valid licensure as a School Psychologist in Texas (or ability to obtain)
  • Previous experience working in K-12 school settings preferred
  • Knowledge of special education laws, assessment tools, and MTSS/RTI processes
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • Ability to provide culturally responsive services and adapt to diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for students referred for evaluation
  • Participate in eligibility determination and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Offer direct and consultative mental health services to students, families, and staff
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design interventions that support student learning and emotional development
  • Provide crisis intervention and behavioral support as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Contribute to staff professional development on mental health and behavioral interventions
