Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters or doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in TX (or eligible)
- Experience conducting evaluations, FBAs, and developing IEPs
- Strong understanding of IDEA, Section 504, and best practices in school psychology
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to determine eligibility for special education services
- Interpret assessment data and provide clear, actionable recommendations
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
- Deliver counseling and direct intervention services for students as needed
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents on academic, social, and behavioral concerns
- Support crisis intervention efforts and promote safe learning environments
- Keep accurate records and ensure compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
