Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid and current license/certification as a School Psychologist in Texas
- Experience in conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting data
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and consultative skills
- Familiarity with Special Education procedures and legal requirements
- Previous experience working in K-12 schools is highly desirable
- Compassionate and culturally responsive approach to supporting students from diverse backgrounds
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning of students
- Perform individual and group counseling as appropriate
- Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to recommend interventions and strategies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student mental health and learning needs
- Maintain accurate records and prepare timely reports in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and continuing education in school psychology
