In this contract position, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support the unique needs of students in a diverse school environment near Corpus Christi, TX. Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid credentials as a School Psychologist, with state licensure or eligibility in Texas
- Previous experience in a school-based setting highly preferred
- Strong skills in conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs, 504 Plans, and behavior intervention plans
- Proficiency in consultation with teachers, families, and support staff
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding special education
- Effective communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Compassion and dedication to student well-being and development
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students referred for assessment
- Develop and recommend individualized interventions and support strategies
- Collaborate with educators, counselors, and families to create student-centered plans
- Participate in eligibility, IEP, and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Support crisis intervention and evidence-based counseling services as needed
- Monitor student progress and document outcomes according to district and state guidelines
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
