Job Description

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid credentials as a School Psychologist, with state licensure or eligibility in Texas
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting highly preferred
  • Strong skills in conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results
  • Ability to develop and implement IEPs, 504 Plans, and behavior intervention plans
  • Proficiency in consultation with teachers, families, and support staff
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding special education
  • Effective communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Compassion and dedication to student well-being and development

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students referred for assessment
  • Develop and recommend individualized interventions and support strategies
  • Collaborate with educators, counselors, and families to create student-centered plans
  • Participate in eligibility, IEP, and multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Support crisis intervention and evidence-based counseling services as needed
  • Monitor student progress and document outcomes according to district and state guidelines
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
