Key Qualifications:
- Valid state certification or license as a School Psychologist
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Demonstrated experience or internship with K-12 student populations
- Strong assessment, intervention, and counseling skills
- Proficiency in implementing special education eligibility procedures and IEP development
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with students, staff, and families
- Familiarity with current best practices in psychological assessment and intervention
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for special education eligibility
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement student support plans
- Provide direct and indirect counseling services to students, including crisis intervention as needed
- Interpret assessment results and present findings at multidisciplinary team meetings
- Assist in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and monitor student progress
- Offer consultation with staff on behavioral interventions and academic accommodations
- Engage in prevention and early intervention programs to promote positive mental health in the school community
- Maintain accurate records, adhering to regulatory and ethical guidelines
