Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid school psychologist certification/license (state requirements must be met)
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and writing thorough, actionable reports
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and multi-disciplinary team settings
- Strong communication, consultation, and advocacy skills with students, educators, and families
- Experience implementing interventions to promote positive student outcomes
- Ability to maintain detailed records and adhere to confidentiality regulations
Role Responsibilities:
- Complete comprehensive evaluations to assess students cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings, providing professional input to develop effective student support plans
- Consult with teachers and parents to create proactive strategies for students academic and personal growth
- Deliver direct and indirect counseling services as outlined in student plans
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives aimed at fostering a positive, inclusive educational environment
- Remain current on best practices and legal requirements in school psychology
