Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in School Psychology or closely related field
- Valid New Mexico school psychologist license required
- Experience with elementary, middle, and/or high school students preferred
- Strong assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention skills
- Knowledge of effective interventions and academic support strategies
- Excellent communication abilities to collaborate with educators, administrators, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations to assess students learning, behavioral, and psychological needs
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and support staff to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct intervention and counseling services to students as appropriate
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop student support strategies
- Consult with parents and guardians regarding student progress and recommendations
- Deliver professional development and guidance to faculty on educational and behavioral concerns
- Support the creation of positive school climates emphasizing mental health and well-being
