Desired Background and Skills:
- Active licensure as a school psychologist
- Masters or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Strong knowledge of evaluation procedures and Individualized Education Plan (IEP) processes
- Familiarity with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and functional behavioral assessments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to implement positive behavioral interventions and support diverse learners
Role Expectations:
- Conduct psychological and educational assessments for referred students
- Provide timely, comprehensive evaluations and written reports
- Take part in team meetings, contributing to eligibility determination and developing interventions
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents regarding academic, behavioral, and social-emotional concerns
- Participate in crisis intervention and support services as needed
- Offer counseling, skill-building, and guidance for individuals and groups
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive school climate by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
