Job Description
A school district in Clinton, South Carolina is seeking a qualified School Psychologist for a fulltime, schoolbased contract. This position serves K12 students and focuses on assessment, intervention, and collaboration to support academic achievement and socialemotional development. Candidates who are collaborative, detailoriented, and committed to student success are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to evaluate academic, cognitive, and socialemotional functioning
- Interpret assessment results and prepare clear, compliant written evaluation reports
- Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility determinations, and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families regarding student learning, behavior, and mental health needs
- Support the development and monitoring of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Assist with MTSS, early intervention, and schoolbased mental health initiatives as applicable
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Support a safe, inclusive, and studentcentered learning environment
Qualifications
- Active South Carolina School Psychologist certification/licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- Ability to pass background checks, fingerprinting, and district clearances
- Licensing and credentialing support may be available for eligible candidates
Education
- Masters degree, Educational Specialist (Ed.S.), or higher in School Psychology or a related field
Experience
- Prior schoolbased experience preferred
- New graduates with appropriate credentials and internship experience are encouraged to apply
Skills
- Strong assessment, data interpretation, and reportwriting skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational and timemanagement skills
- Commitment to supporting diverse student populations
Work Hours
- MondayFriday
- 8:00 AM 3:30 PM
- Approximately 3740 hours per week
