This part-time contract role offers the opportunity to work closely with young learners, fostering growth and providing essential psychological services in an educational setting near Cicero, IL. As a dedicated professional, youll help identify student needs, collaborate with educational teams, and offer guidance to ensure positive developmental outcomes.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois State Psychologist License required
- State and district credentials applicable to preschool psychological services
- Previous experience in preschool or early childhood settings strongly preferred
- Expertise in conducting assessments, developing intervention plans, and participating in IEP meetings
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude with staff, families, and administrators
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and ongoing assessments for preschool students
- Develop, monitor, and adjust individualized education and behavioral intervention plans
- Consult with teachers, parents, and related service staff to enable student success
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development
- Deliver direct and consultative services to address academic, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation according to district and state standards
- Serve as a resource on child development and special education best practices
