Job Description
Make a positive impact supporting the academic, emotional, and social success of students in elementary grades as a School Psychologist on a contract basis. In this full-time role, you will work with a diverse K5th caseload, collaborating with educators, families, and your team to help create supportive learning environments.
Your expertise and compassion will help identify students needs, provide critical assessments, and develop effective intervention strategies. You will have opportunities to consult with teachers and staff, advise on best practices, and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Qualifications:
- Possess an active Illinois School Psychologist credential and Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Experience or training in providing psychological services within school settings
- Strong understanding of MTSS/RTI, assessments, and IEP processes for elementary students
- Excellent communication skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Skilled at conducting evaluations, interpreting data, and recommending interventions
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments for K5th grade students
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate on student support plans
- Consult with teachers, families, and school staff to address student needs
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral support as needed
- Maintain detailed records and contribute to a positive school culture
