Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist credential or eligibility for California licensure.
- Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field.
- Demonstrated experience providing psychological services in K-12 settings.
- Strong skills in assessment, counseling, and intervention planning.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, staff, and families.
- Commitment to ethical, culturally responsive practice and inclusivity.
- Experience with IEPs, MTSS, 504 plans, and behavioral supports preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations to identify strengths and needs of students.
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, administrators, and families to develop and support effective learning strategies.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to create, implement, and review individualized education programs (IEPs) and 504 plans.
- Provide individual and group counseling to address academic, behavioral, and emotional challenges.
- Deliver crisis intervention and consultation services as needed.
- Contribute to prevention and intervention programs that promote positive educational outcomes and safe school climates.
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines.
