A contract School Psychologist position is available in Chincoteague Island, VA, supporting a district-wide caseload within a public school district. This role requires providing psychological services across grades Pre-K through 12, following typical school psychologist duties to support student learning and well-being.
Key Qualifications and Requirements:
- Valid Virginia School Psychologist license.
- Experience working with school-aged children in educational settings.
- Ability to manage a caseload model covering multiple schools.
- Willingness to participate in indirect hours including administrative tasks and paid team meetings.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Location and Work Details:
- Position based in Chincoteague Island, VA with district-wide assignments.
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
- Contract role starting September 9 with the new school year.
- Support provided within multiple schools across the district.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments to inform Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to develop strategies and interventions.
- Participate in team meetings and provide indirect support for student success.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district policies.
