What Were Looking For:

  • Active Virginia School Psychologist License (required)
  • Experience or passion for working with PreK through 12th-grade students
  • Strong understanding of typical School Psychologist responsibilities, including assessment, consultation, and collaboration in school environments
  • Comfortable supporting multiple schools district-wide on an itinerant basis
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Proficient or willing to train in district-specific IEP systems
  • Organized, flexible, and able to maintain effective communication with educators, families, and staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive psychological services, including testing, counseling, and consultations
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to individualized student plans
  • Provide expertise in student behavior, learning processes, and mental health
  • Support interventions and strategies aligned with student goals
  • Maintain documentation and reports according to district standards
  • Collaborate with staff and faculty to foster a positive learning environment for all students
