Take the next step in your School Psychologist career with this dynamic contract opportunity serving K-8 students in Chicago, IL. You will work on-site, providing essential support that empowers children to overcome academic and social-emotional barriers to learningall within an engaged, collaborative educational environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Masters degree or higher in Psychology or Educational Psychology is required
- Active PEL license with School Psychologist Endorsement (Illinois)
- Minimum of two years of experience working as a school-based psychologist
- Strong alignment with core values emphasizing child-centered, results-driven support
- Proven ability to approach each students success with intentionality and persistence
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, identify, and support the academic and social-emotional needs of students by collaborating with SPED, 504, and MTSS teams
- Ensure compliance with special education, 504, and MTSS processesincluding documentation, timelines, service delivery, and evaluation
- Consult on and lead Tier 3 MTSS interventions and monitor scholar progress
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports, participate in meetings (problem-solving, IEP, eligibility, annual reviews)
- Request and interpret records from non-school agencies as needed, maintaining confidentiality in all records and communications
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evidence-based practices and evaluation tools; share professional learning with teams as needed
- Foster effective, timely communication with parents, staff, and stakeholders; serve as a resource on child development and learning disorders
- Regularly participate in professional development, psych team, and staff meetings
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal guidelines for school psychologists
This full-time, 37.5-hour week role is split across two school locations. The specific caseload will be confirmed soon.
