Step into a dynamic contract opportunity working with K-12 students as part of a skilled psychological services team near Chicago, IL. This full-time position runs through June and is ideal for dedicated professionals passionate about supporting students social, emotional, and academic growth across various grade levels and school settings.
Qualifications and Required Experience:
- Valid Illinois School Psychologist licensure (IL PSYCH)
- Experience with K-12 student populations and familiarity with school psychology best practices
- Strong assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Adaptability to work across diverse grade levels and manage a flexible caseload
- Commitment to confidentiality and ethical guidelines in educational settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive psychological services for students in grades K-12
- Conduct formal assessments, interpret results, and communicate findings to stakeholders
- Develop and implement evidence-based interventions and behavioral supports within the school environment
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the design of educational plans
- Provide individual and group counseling tailored to student needs
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to promote inclusive, supportive learning environments
- Support positive school climate initiatives and preventative mental health programs
