Job Description

A contract position is available for a School Psychologist to support elementary-level students in Oak Park, IL. This role focuses on providing comprehensive psychological evaluations and services to students from early childhood through 5th grade, helping to identify special education needs and support individualized educational plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for students in grades EC-5 to determine eligibility for special education services
  • Collaborate with educational staff and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Provide recommendations and support strategies based on evaluation results
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with district and state regulations
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of student support programs

Qualifications:

  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement
  • Experience conducting EC-5th grade psychological assessments within a school setting
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, assessment tools, and intervention strategies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage caseload and adhere to timelines efficiently
