Job Description

This role offers the opportunity to work as a School Psychologist providing essential support to elementary students within a vibrant school district in the Virginia Beach area. The position involves traveling to multiple schools within the district, allowing for a varied and engaging work experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and testing tailored to elementary-aged students
  • Participate in all relevant educational meetings including ARD, reevaluation, and IEP sessions
  • Collaborate effectively with educators, families, and school staff to develop and implement individualized educational plans
  • Support students social-emotional and academic development through data-driven interventions
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with district and state requirements

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid state licensure as a School Psychologist and active Department of Education certification are required
  • Open to new graduates and candidates with 010+ years of experience in school psychology
  • Strong assessment and evaluation skills with the ability to interpret and communicate findings clearly
  • Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills to engage with students, families, and educators
  • Willingness to travel within the school district for varied assignments

Additional Details:

  • Assignment start date is ASAP, with the contract concluding on June 16, 2026
  • School day runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Caseload will primarily focus on elementary students, with specific caseload numbers to be determined
  • Positions available for both full-time and part-time candidates
  • This is a non-hybrid, on-site role; remote work options are not available
