Embark on a rewarding, full-time contract opportunity as a School Psychologist in the vibrant Chattanooga area for the 2026-2027 academic year. This role supports a dynamic school district committed to the well-being and academic success of its students. Youll collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary professionals to help shape positive outcomes for students, utilizing your expertise in psychological assessment and intervention.
This position runs from August 5, 2026, through May 19, 2027, with a 35-hour workweek. Flexibility may be possible for candidates seeking a 4-day on-site/1-day remote hybrid schedule, pending district approval and suitable qualifications. The number of school sites and specific caseload details will be finalized soon, but you can expect to work across various campuses supporting a diverse age range.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active DOE Certification (required)
- Experience as a School Psychologist in an educational setting
- Familiarity with standard school-age assessments and intervention planning
- Ability to complete and comply with timely credentialing, including fingerprinting
- Strong communication, collaboration, and consultation skills
- Adaptability in working with multiple age groups and school campuses
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments
- Facilitate and participate in IEP and eligibility determination meetings
- Provide consultation and support to teachers, staff, and families
- Develop and implement evidence-based intervention strategies
- Assist with crisis intervention and prevention initiatives
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records
