A School Psychologist opportunity is available in Charlotte, NC, offering a contract position within an educational setting. This role focuses on supporting students' mental health, learning, and behavioral needs to foster a positive and productive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify student needs
- Develop and implement intervention plans in collaboration with educators, parents, and staff
- Provide individual and group counseling services to support students emotional and social development
- Consult with teachers and administrators to design strategies for improving student outcomes
- Assist in crisis intervention and contribute to a safe school environment
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and progress
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctorate degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience conducting psychological testing and educational assessments
- Strong counseling and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively
- Knowledge of applicable legal and ethical guidelines in school psychology
- Ability to manage multiple cases effectively and prioritize responsibilities
