A school psychologist position is available in Charleston, SC, offering a contract opportunity to apply specialized skills in educational and psychological assessment, intervention, and support services within a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments to identify student needs and challenges.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized educational plans (IEPs).
- Provide counseling and intervention services to support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and recommendations.
- Utilize data to inform decisions and measure the effectiveness of interventions.
- Promote a positive school climate through preventative programs and crisis intervention when necessary.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field.
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience conducting psychological assessments in educational settings.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding special education.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
