Job Description
A School Psychologist role is available in Chapel Hill, NC, providing essential psychological services within a school setting on a contract basis. This position involves collaborating with educators, parents, and students to support the academic, social, and emotional well-being of children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with school staff
- Provide counseling and behavioral support for students facing challenges
- Consult with teachers and parents regarding student progress and strategies
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to address student concerns
- Maintain accurate records and comply with school and legal requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed or certified School Psychologist credential preferred
- Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations and interpreting results
- Strong communication skills for interacting with students, families, and school personnel
- Knowledge of current best practices in school psychology and special education
- Ability to manage caseload efficiently and work collaboratively within a team
- Background working in K-12 school environments is highly desirable
