A full-time School Psychologist position is available in the Phoenix area, specifically assigned to schools within Mesa Public Schools. This is a contract role starting as soon as possible with an end date of May 21, 2026. Assignments include one position at Stephenson Elementary and another as a floater across Mesa Academy, Adams Elementary, and Taylor Junior High School.
Key responsibilities include managing caseloads of approximately 60 students with an estimated 12 psychological evaluations completed daily using pen-and-paper methods. The position requires a self-motivated professional who can quickly adapt and begin contributing effectively. The district uses Google Suite and Synergy for documentation and coordination, so familiarity with these platforms is highly beneficial.
Qualifications and experience:
- Active Arizona Department of Education certification with a Special Education endorsement
- Valid IVP fingerprint card
- Previous experience in school psychology preferred, with caseload management skills
- Ability to perform psychological evaluations and provide interventions for a diverse student population
- Comfort working with standard technology platforms such as Google Suite and student information systems like Synergy
Work schedule:
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
- Caseload and school assignments will vary based on district needs
Location:
- Primarily Chandler, AZ and the surrounding Phoenix metropolitan area
