Your expertise will play a vital part in fostering students academic, social, and emotional development, collaborating closely with educators and parents to ensure each child reaches their full potential.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
- Masters degree or higher in School Psychology or related field
- Experience working within a school environment, supporting diverse student populations
- Strong assessment, counseling, and intervention skills
- Familiarity with Special Education laws and regulations, including IEP and 504 processes
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to work independently and adapt to new environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect psychological services to students, including assessments and consultations
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and help develop comprehensive intervention plans
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary teams, contributing insights for student success
- Support the IEP/504 teams by interpreting evaluation results and recommending appropriate accommodations
- Engage in crisis intervention and prevention, delivering short-term counseling when needed
- Assist with developing and implementing positive behavior support programs across the school
- Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in accordance with professional and legal standards
