Key Qualifications:

• Active Virginia School Psychologist License
• Experience with psychological assessment, diagnostic evaluations, and intervention strategies in K-12 settings
• Skills in conducting both individual and group counseling or therapy
• Strong ability to recommend interventions and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Effective communication skills, especially when working with students, parents, and staff
• Detail-oriented organizational habits for maintaining records and preparing reports

Main Responsibilities:

• Complete psychological assessments, testing, and diagnostic examinations for students
• Offer evidence-based recommendations to support student learning and address psychological concerns
• Deliver individual or group therapy adapted to students unique needs
• Assist in student identification and placement decisions, collaborating with stakeholders
• Implement behavior modification plans and interventions
• Maintain up-to-date, confidential records and generate clear, helpful progress reports
• Communicate findings and act as a resource to families, teachers, and school leaders
