This contract opportunity runs from August 2026 through May 2027, offering a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, 8:45 am3:45 pm, with 37.5 hours per week. Assignments and caseloads are flexible and can be tailored to your professional strengths and interests.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid School Psychologist license in Virginia
  • Experience conducting psychological assessments and diagnostic testing within a school setting
  • Skilled in delivering both individual and group therapy sessions to students
  • Strong background in behavior intervention and modification strategies
  • Proficient in maintaining accurate records and detailed progress reports
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with staff and engagement with parents

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Complete psychological evaluations, assessments, and relevant diagnostic examinations
  • Advocate for students by recommending interventions and supporting their academic and social-emotional success
  • Provide individual and group counseling to address student learning or behavioral needs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student placement and services
  • Implement and monitor behavior plans to foster positive student outcomes
  • Liaise closely with families, educators, and support staff to ensure student progress is supported from all angles
  • Maintain confidential records and provide comprehensive updates in a timely manner
