Step into an impactful opportunity supporting student success as a contract School Psychologist for the 2024-2025 academic year. This position, located near Carrollton, VA, offers a collaborative, supportive environment where your skills will help shape students educational journeys. The assignment runs from ASAP until June 6, 2025, with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 8:45 am to 3:45 pm. Assignments and caseloads are flexible and can be tailored based on your expertise and preference.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive psychological assessments, testing, and diagnostic evaluations
- Recommend interventions to support learning and address psychological or behavioral challenges
- Provide individual and group counseling to help students thrive emotionally and academically
- Collaborate in identifying and appropriately placing students based on their needs
- Implement behavior modification programs in partnership with staff and families
- Maintain meaningful communication with parents, teachers, and other educational professionals
- Document progress and maintain organized, thorough records and reports
Qualifications:
- Valid Virginia School Psychologist License required
- Experience conducting school-based psychological assessments and developing intervention strategies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, staff, and families
- Ability to manage records accurately and maintain confidentiality
