This contract opportunity runs from August 2026 through May 2027, offering a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, 8:45 am3:45 pm, with 37.5 hours per week. Assignments and caseloads are flexible and can be tailored to your professional strengths and interests.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist license in Virginia
- Experience conducting psychological assessments and diagnostic testing within a school setting
- Skilled in delivering both individual and group therapy sessions to students
- Strong background in behavior intervention and modification strategies
- Proficient in maintaining accurate records and detailed progress reports
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with staff and engagement with parents
Primary Responsibilities:
- Complete psychological evaluations, assessments, and relevant diagnostic examinations
- Advocate for students by recommending interventions and supporting their academic and social-emotional success
- Provide individual and group counseling to address student learning or behavioral needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student placement and services
- Implement and monitor behavior plans to foster positive student outcomes
- Liaise closely with families, educators, and support staff to ensure student progress is supported from all angles
- Maintain confidential records and provide comprehensive updates in a timely manner
