Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid state certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
- Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field
- Experience conducting psychological assessments, counseling, and developing intervention strategies for school-aged children
- Familiarity with IEP processes, special education law, and district/state guidelines
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families
- Ability to manage caseloads efficiently and maintain accurate documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to identify students strengths and needs
- Provide individual and group counseling to address academic, behavioral, and emotional challenges
- Collaborate with faculty, parents, and other specialists to develop effective interventions and educational plans
- Serve as a resource in the development of positive behavioral support systems and crisis intervention
- Lead or participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) and eligibility meetings
- Maintain thorough records in compliance with ethical and legal standards
