Job Description

Make an impact supporting students and staff by providing expert psychological services in a dynamic educational environment. This contract opportunity is available for a skilled School Psychologist to support K-12 students with a range of general psychology responsibilities, including assessments, evaluations, and occasional counseling. The position is full-time and located on-site near scenic Burnsville, NC.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Possess a valid NC School Psychologist License.
  • Experience working with K-12 student populations preferred.
  • Skills in conducting psychoeducational testing, interpreting evaluation data, and communicating findings effectively.
  • Ability to deliver brief, solution-focused counseling interventions as needed.
  • Strong organizational skills and a collaborative approach to working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations for students in accordance with district and state guidelines.
  • Provide occasional short-term counseling and behavioral supports to K-12 students.
  • Consult and collaborate with educators, administrators, and families regarding student needs and appropriate interventions.
  • Document findings, develop recommendations, and contribute to IEP and eligibility meetings.
  • Maintain compliance with all professional, ethical, and confidentiality standards.
