In this building-based role, youll collaborate closely with educators, parents, and support staff, ensuring every student benefits from comprehensive psychological services. Engage with a diverse caseload, implement targeted interventions, and contribute to programs that make a meaningful difference for young learners.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid IL School Psychologist (PSYCH) License required
- Experience working within a school environment, especially with middle school populations
- Strong knowledge of psychological testing, assessment tools, and intervention strategies
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop and implement effective Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Familiarity with multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) and special education processes
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and academic assessments for students referred for support services
- Design, implement, and monitor interventions to address student needs
- Consult with teachers and administrators on behavioral and academic concerns
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate on tailored education plans
- Provide crisis intervention and support service as needed
- Maintain detailed records in compliance with state and federal regulations
