Make an impact supporting K-12 students as a School Psychologist in the Bridgeport, CT area. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with students, educators, and families, fostering positive learning environments while developing effective interventions for diverse needs. In this role, you'll deliver comprehensive counseling and assessments, guiding students toward academic, social, and emotional success.
Key Qualifications:
- Certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with K-12 populations preferred
- Strong skills in assessment, counseling, and developing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Compassionate communicator with students, teachers, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments for academic, behavioral, and emotional concerns
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with parents and educators
- Provide individual and group counseling to support student well-being
- Consult with staff to design interventions that promote positive school climate and student engagement
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate case documentation
- Participate in team meetings and offer expertise on best practices in psychological services
