Job Description
A school district in Brick, NJ, is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to support the educational and emotional well-being of its student population. This contract position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively within a school setting, providing essential psychological services to students, staff, and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify student needs
- Develop and implement intervention strategies tailored to individual students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student success
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute expert advice
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to special education and student welfare
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid school psychologist certification or licensure according to state requirements
- Experience in conducting comprehensive psychoeducational assessments
- Strong knowledge of child development, learning disabilities, and behavioral interventions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Understanding of special education laws and best practices
