This contract opportunity offers the chance to collaborate with educators, families, and administration to foster student success and well-being. Flexibility on caseload ensures your skills are best put to use to support students diverse needs, and candidates with experience in South Dakota schools or local knowledge are encouraged to apply. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current licensure as a school psychologist in South Dakota (required)
- Masters degree or higher in school psychology or a related field
- Willingness to work across elementary, middle, and high school levels (grades K12)
- Experience working within South Dakota educational systems is a plus
- Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Open to considering interns seeking to expand their clinical experience
- Excellent communication, assessment, and problem-solving abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group assessments to help identify students academic, behavioral, and emotional needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor intervention plans that support student growth and achievement
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to promote a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Provide crisis intervention and consultation as needed to ensure student safety and well-being
- Maintain thorough, confidential documentation and participate in IEP meetings as appropriate
- Support data-driven decision making through ongoing progress monitoring
