Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid certification or license as a School Psychologist
  • Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
  • Experience conducting psychological evaluations and assessments in a K-12 setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities when working with students, staff, and families
  • Familiarity with Response to Intervention (RTI), IEP development, and special education services
  • Ability to manage caseloads effectively while maintaining accurate and timely documentation
  • Collaborative spirit and commitment to fostering positive student development

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct student assessments and evaluations to determine eligibility for special programs or services
  • Interpret assessment results and provide recommendations for educational planning
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop strategies that promote student success
  • Offer crisis intervention, counseling, and consultation as needed
  • Support school-wide initiatives focused on positive behavior and social-emotional learning
  • Maintain diligent and confidential records in accordance with district policies
