Qualifications:
- Masters degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid Louisiana School Psychologist license
- Experience providing psychological services within elementary, middle, and/or high school settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to effectively assess, counsel, and support students
- Familiarity with educational eligibility and special education guidelines
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students educational needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop and implement intervention strategies
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including eligibility and Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes
- Provide counseling services to students to support their academic, social, and emotional growth
- Assist with crisis intervention and behavior management plans as needed
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state regulations
- Offer consultation and training to faculty on topics related to mental health and classroom management
