Seeking an experienced School Psychologist for an onsite, contract opportunity working with 3rd to 5th grade students. This full-time position (36-40 hours per week) offers a chance to support students academic, emotional, and behavioral needs in a collaborative school environment. Your expertise will play a key role in assessment, counseling, and intervention planning.
Key Qualifications:
- IL School Psychologist License required
- Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Experience with elementary-age children preferred
- Strong skills in psychological assessment, report writing, and consultation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and assessments for referred students
- Develop and implement intervention strategies for academic and behavioral support
- Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention services as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and help develop individualized education plans
- Serve as a resource for teachers and parents regarding students learning and behavioral needs
- Maintain accurate records and documentation consistent with school and state requirements
- Promote a positive school climate through consultation and training with staff
