Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in School Psychology or closely related field is required
  • Current and valid New Mexico school psychologist license
  • Experience working with elementary, middle, and high school-aged students
  • In-depth knowledge of educational testing, IEP development, and behavioral interventions
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to evidence-based practices and ongoing professional growth

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results to inform educational planning
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and monitor IEPs and student support plans
  • Provide individual and group counseling to address academic, emotional, and behavioral needs
  • Deliver crisis intervention, consultation services, and professional guidance to school staff
  • Offer training and resources for teachers and families to implement intervention strategies
  • Contribute to data-driven decision-making for student success
  • Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in compliance with state and federal requirements
