Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing vital psychological services to K-12 students throughout the district for the 2026-2027 academic year. Based near Bloomfield and Winsted, CT, this full-time, in-person role spans multiple schools, offering diverse experiences and the chance to make a meaningful impact. Your commitment will run from August 2026 through June 2027, working Monday through Friday, 3237.5 hours each week.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Masters or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or related field
  • Valid state certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
  • Experience working across K-12 settings preferred
  • Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Flexibility and adaptability to serve multiple school environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations
  • Provide individual and group counseling to support student wellbeing
  • Consult with educators, administrators, and families on academic, behavioral, and emotional concerns
  • Develop and monitor intervention plans and support services
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams and contribute to IEP/504 processes
  • Deliver crisis intervention and prevention services as needed
  • Travel between schools within the district to serve a diverse caseload
