A school district in Bethlehem, PA is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to support the educational and emotional development of students on a contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create a positive and effective learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for students.
- Provide individual and group counseling services addressing academic, social, and emotional challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop and implement intervention plans.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Offer consultations and training to school personnel to promote mental health awareness.
- Monitor and report on student progress and adjust strategies as needed.
Desired Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
- Valid Pennsylvania School Psychology certification.
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and special education laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
- Experience in crisis intervention and prevention strategies is a plus.
