This onsite position runs from September through December and offers the chance to make a meaningful difference every day in the lives of students with high needs, particularly those on the autism spectrum.
As a valued school psychologist, you will collaborate with educators, district staff, and families to foster positive outcomes for learners across multiple grade levels. Your expertise will be essential in serving a diverse community and addressing complex needs within designated school settings.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist Endorsement in Illinois
- Experience working with high-needs populations, especially students with autism spectrum disorders
- Specialized knowledge of assessment tools, intervention strategies, and progress monitoring
- Ability to work onsite 32.5 hours per week and travel among multiple school sites if necessary
- Strong communication, consultation, and collaboration skills with multi-disciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative psychological services to students in need
- Assess, evaluate, and report on individual student learning and behavioral needs
- Develop and support interventions for students with autism in a grade-level setting
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation and ensure compliance with district/state policies
