Step into a rewarding opportunity as a School Psychologist supporting students for the upcoming academic year. This part-time contract position begins August 24th and runs through June 4th, offering the perfect balance for professionals seeking meaningful work with a flexible schedule. Youll play a vital role on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30am to 3:00pm, providing your expertise in a supportive school setting.
Youll work closely with a select group of 14 students who have Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), leading evaluations and re-evaluations to ensure personalized, impactful support for every learner. Your collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams will promote each students academic, emotional, and social growth.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Certification as a School Psychologist with appropriate licensure for practice in Illinois
- Previous experience working as a School Psychologist, preferably within school settings
- Solid understanding of special education law and IEP processes
- Strong assessment, consultation, and counseling skills
- Comfort and professionalism working directly with students, parents, and school teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience conducting and interpreting evaluations and re-evaluations
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and re-evaluations for students on IEPs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to support student success
- Contribute to the development and review of IEP goals, accommodations, and services
- Offer insight and recommendations to help address learning, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with district and regulatory requirements
